Photos have emerged of what appears to be the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8, the South Korean tech giant’s flagship mobile phone.
Twitter user Benjamin Geskin has tweeted three photos of the device’s front panel, reportedly found on China’s Weibo social network.
The panel is a far cry from current norms, seemingly ditching a home button in favour of a far larger screen. In fact, it looks like the S8’s front will almost entirely be comprised of a screen!
According to Mashable, the device will come in two sizes – a 5,8” standard model and a 6,2” ‘plus’ model.
The site further reports that Samsung will be introducing an upgraded virtual AI assistant, named Bixby.
With the ongoing success of Apple’s Siri, Bixby will have to have one heck of a party trick to impress the global market.
Regardless, it’s quite likely to out-sell its Apple counterpart, as Samsung’s Asian popularity continues to soar despite the disaster that was the Note 7.
