Apple’s new-generation iPad is set to go on sale this weekend in South Africa, bringing with it a new range of prices.
According to MyBroadband, the entry-level 32GB Wi-Fi model will go for R5 999, with the 128GB equivalent priced at R7 999.
Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi and cellular models, equipped with the same amount of storage, will cost R8 299 and R9 999.
Apple says its new devices are run by the updated Apple A9 chip, featuring 9,7-inch high-detail Retina displays that supposedly won’t compromise the device’s battery life.
The device is a level down from its iPad Pro big brother, but it still promises to deliver excellent performance, both for productivity and gaming.
It will be offered alongside the Pro – which is marketed as a “super computer” - as well as the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4.
