While many gamers are still trying reach a verdict on Nintendo's upcoming Switch console, South Africans now have a confirmed date and price for the product.
Core Gaming Systems announced on Friday that the Nintendo Switch is going on sale from March 3 for a recommended price of R5 599.
While Takealot and BT Games will be the first to stock the product, Core says that it will soon reach other retailers.
The product package will include the main console, the Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which the Joy-Con are attached and used as one controller), a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), a HDMI cable and an AC adapter.
In terms of games, players can look forward to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from launch day.
Takealot will be having a launch special for the product - with R300 of the Switch's price for the first 50 pre-orders.
Core announced that there will be a pre-launch event from February 17 - 19 at the Sandton City Fountain Court for those who want to see the product first-hand.
