Reports have confirmed that PlayStation’s VR Aim controller will launch this May, bundled with an innovative FPS title.
Road to VR reports that the new controller, designed to augment the already-succesful PlayStation VR headset, will mimic some PlayStation Move features.
These include a glowing tracking sphere, as well as a trigger and thumb-joystick.
The controller is rumoured to be capable of one-to-one tracking, which means that real-life movements will be replicated perfectly in-game.
The game the device is set to be bundled with is called Farpoint, a co-op FPS that will make full use of this one-to-one functionality.
While the game will be playable with a standard PS4 controller, says RTVR, it has been designed with the Aim in mind.
Indy PlayStation exclusive has been developed by Impulse Gear, who also provided input to Sony during the development of the Aim device.
The selection of Aim-compatible titles is expected to grow with the release of more VR-orientated games in the near future.
