Capcom is tugging on the nostalgic heartstrings of Disney fans with the upcoming release of a six-game classic collection for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The set, called The Disney Afternoon Collection, will include DuckTales and DuckTales 2, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, and of course both Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers games.
Capcom says it has restored the 8-bit games to be compatible with 1080p high definition, bringing decades-old classics to the latest generation of gaming consoles. It's added two new game modes in the form of 'Boss Rush' and 'Time Attack'.
The company has also added a nifty feature in all of the games that will allow players unfamiliar with classic NES and Sega Genesis gameplay to “rewind time and enjoy a swift recovery from blunders”.
The package, which launches on the 18th of April, will also include a collection of concept artwork, ads and classic music.
Of all the remastered classic games now available on modern consoles, this one will surely tickle the fancy of many adult gamers in search of some sweet old childhood memories.
Some fans, however, have voiced their frustration that the collection won't be released on the new Nintendo Switch, given that all six games were originally available on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
