October is fast approaching, and with it comes the release of the highly anticipated Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
The action RPG, set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved legendarium, is the sequel to the widely-acclaimed 2014 hit, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
Players take control of Talion, a Gondorian ranger imbued with the spirit of a legendary elvish blacksmith, Celebrimbor. After the events of the first game, Sauron is back and more vengeful than ever, posing an even bigger threat to the duo.
Developer Warner Bros. Interactive has promised a more nuanced approach to gameplay in the sequel, in contrast to the relatively simplistic hack-and-slash mechanics of its predecessor.
Lord of The Rings fans will relish the latest trailer, which teases the infamous Nazgul, a fiery Balrog, and an all new ring of power.
The first storyline didn’t desecrate LOTR canon – in fact, it has added an entirely new angle to the already epic mythos.
Release is slated for the 10th of October on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
