Atari has officially unveiled its upcoming console, the Ataribox, giving eager fans a full look at the retro-inspired device.
Last month, the company - which has been in gaming limbo for some time now - gave us a 20 second glimpse of the concept.
The Ataribox will have SD card support, HDMI display support, and four USB ports, possibly for modernised controllers.
It’ll also be available in two classic colour ways - black/red and wood.
Not much has been given away about the device’s gaming potential, but it’s likely to be similar to Nintendo’s NES and SNES Classic - vintage games on a modern system.
Mashable, meanwhile, has discovered that Atari will attempt to crowdfund the console in an attempt to minimise risk in the event that it flops.
While the company’s hordes of fans will likely accomplish this, it turns Atari’s revival into more of a whimper than a bang.
No pricing or release information has been announced as yet.
