It's time for another look at the world of smartphone and tablet applications, featuring plenty of games this time.
In this feature, we're looking at the official µTorrent application, a simple Chestburster AR app and plenty more titles.
TechCrunch
One of the world's foremost start-up and technology blogs, TechCrunch has dramatically grown in popularity since its inception.
Now, the site has introduced mobile applications, bringing users the latest and greatest start-up and gadget news.
The TechCrunch app is available on the iPad and Android tablets free of charge.
Blood and Glory: Legend
One of the more visually impressive games right now, Blood and Glory: Legend is the sequel to the original Blood and Glory.
The game has been described by Android Police as "Soul Calibur-ish", as it draws from Namco's top-flight fighting game.
The best part is that the title is free to play on both iOS and Android, with in-app purchases available for those wanting a little more.
Scribblenauts Remix
Call us silly, but we didn't know that Nintendo DS classic Scribblenauts is available on iOS, so we jumped at the chance to download it.
The game, which has you summoning objects by writing down their names, is one of the more unique entries available on any platform.
Packed with over 40 levels and a level editor, Scribblenauts Remix is available for just $0.99, so do yourself a favour and check it out.
Chestburster
One of the more gimmicky entries this week, this Alien-inspired application is definitely one for fans of the franchise.
A simple augmented-reality app, users need to print the tag from the developer's website, then watch as an Alien chestburster emerges. That's all there is to it, but it's a fun use of the technology nonetheless.
Additionally, you can purchase a T-shirt, complete with the required tag for $30 (or you can print your own, I guess).
Chestburster is available free of charge from the Google Play store.
Granny Smith
From the makers of the impressive water puzzler Sprinkle comes Granny Smith, a quirky platformer with impressive physics too.
The game has you playing as Granny Smith, chasing down apple thieves, complete with power-ups and replays of your levels.
Granny Smith is available on Android and iOS for about $0.99.
µTorrent
Whether you use it for legitimate reasons (ha!) or not, this client is the world's most popular file-sharing program.
The developer has already released a remote client, letting users control their desktop downloads, but now, there's a proper mobile application too.
µTorrent for Android is available free of charge - just watch your mobile data if you intend on using it often.
Zookeeper Battle
The original Zookeeper innovated with some addictive match-3 multiplayer action, with its sequel also bringing the goods.
Zookeeper Battle has you playing with various animals, against people from all over the world, so there's no shortage of fun to be had.
Zookeeper Battle is available on Apple's App Store for free, with in-app purchases too.
