It's once again time to take a peek at the world of mobile applications, with a good variety of downloads to be had.
In this iteration, we've got Xbox SmartGlass, GTA games on special, an iOS game comes to the BlackBerry PlayBook and much more.
Xbox SmartGlass
Microsoft's much ballyhooed Xbox application finally made its way out of the gate, with an array of innovative features in tow.
The SmartGlass app gives gamers a second screen, being used as a companion app for video-watching or for general gameplay. Much like the Xbox Companion app, SmartGlass can also be used for controlling your machine.
SmartGlass is available free of charge for Android, Windows Phone and iOS (coming soon).
Burnout Crash
The ridiculously over-the-top Burnout franchise originally made its name on consoles, with Burnout Crash skidding its way onto mobile devices too.
Tasked with creating havoc, Burnout Crash is one of the more addictive mobile games you'll play all year, with 54 levels, a variety of power-ups and social integration too.
As of writing, Burnout Crash is on sale for just $0.99 on iOS, so check it out.
Smiley's Pop
It's a rare occasion when an iOS title makes its way over to BlackBerry devices, but Smiley's Pop is one of those games.
A match-three puzzle game in the vein of Bejewelled, Smiley's Pop has you matching colours to progress, making for a pretty addictive title.
Smiley's Pop is available for the BlackBerry PlayBook and will set you back about $0.99.
Punch Quest
Another endless running game, Punch Quest is less about avoiding enemies and more about, well... punching them.
The controls are simple enough, with players using different parts of the screen to throw different strikes. And the game is pretty forgiving too - at least when it comes to your health.
Punch Quest is free to play on iOS, with in-app purchases too.
GTA 3/GTA Chinatown Wars
Rockstar Games is marking the tenth anniversary of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, arguably the greatest title in the long-running franchise.
As part of celebrations, the company is preparing a port of Vice City for mobile devices, but in the meantime, you can get the mobile versions of GTA 3 and Chinatown Wars on special.
GTA 3 (available on Android and iOS) and Chinatown Wars (iOS) are $0.99 at the time of writing, so check them out as soon as possible.
Beach Buggy Blitz
Originally exclusive to the Nexus 7 tablet and other Tegra 3-toting devices, this title has finally made its way to Android gadgets at large.
Developed by RipTide GP developers Vector Unit, Beach Buggy Blitz features the beautiful visuals and water effects the studio is known for.
Best of all, Beach Buggy Blitz is a free to play title, so get it from the Google Play Store.
Crossword Dungeon
One of the more interesting games we've come across (ha!), CrossWord Dungeon combines, well... crosswords, with role-playing elements.
So, you'll have your character classes, all of whom have their own strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, you'll need to take on monsters guarding each letter.
Crossword Dungeon is available on iOS for $1.99.
