WhatsApp is making file sharing a whole lot easier with its latest update, and simplifying photo sharing at the same time.
According to Engadget, the 1,2-billion-user-strong instant messaging app now lets you share any file up to a size of 100MB.
Until now, users could only share photos, videos, contacts, locations and PDF files. Now, the possibilities are limitless.
Additionally, the update also improves the app’s photo sharing functionality. You can now swipe up from WhatsApp’s camera screen to see your gallery, and if you’re sending many at once, it’ll group them into five nifty thumbnails.
The best part? Photos will no longer be compressed. That’s right – you can now send your DSLR photos in all their megapixel glory.
It’s also now easier than ever to customise text – to bold, italicise or strikethrough a word, simply tap and hold to select!
The update is already rolling out, so head to your relevant app store now.
