Facebook has once again improved its video-hosting capabilities by introducing a feature called ‘Watch’.
According to the social network, it’s found that while people enjoy finding videos on their news feeds, they also want to find them in a dedicated place.
Watch offers a range of live or recorded episodes created by the likes of Tastemade, A&E and National Geographic, all in one social-media powered place.
That means you’ll be able to follow what your friends are watching, and share whatever you enjoy.
“Watch is personalized to help you discover new shows, organized around what your friends and communities are watching,” says Facebook. “For example, you’ll find sections like “Most Talked About,” which highlights shows that spark conversation.”
Notably, shows on the platform will be quite interactive, with live shows enabling Q&A sessions and others using viewer input to decide content.
The feature will be tested in the U.S. at first, but is expected to go global once all the kinks have been worked out.
