Nintendo has shed more light on the launch of its eagerly anticipated Wii U console.
The console will be available in Japan from 8 December 2012, in a Basic and Pro version, Kotaku reported.
The Basic package, which features 8GBs of storage, will cost 26 250 yen (R2810) while the Pro bundle, which includes an HDMI cable and charging cradle, will cost 31 500 yen (R3372).
Buying a separate Wii U GamePad will cost users 13 440 yen (R1438), while the Xbox-like Pro Controller will cost 5040 yen (R540).
Nintendo's European and American branches will be holding a separate briefing later this evening to discuss local launch details.
