Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld has received a new firmware update, with a few tweaks and features in tow.
The 2.0 update finally brings Sony's critically acclaimed PlayStation Plus premium service to the device. The subscription service sees PlayStation Vita gamers get free games each month, automatic software updates, cloud storage as well as discounts.
The new firmware also includes an email client, called Email, compatible with Gmail, Yahoo! and other email services.
The web browser has received some optimisation as well, being speedier than before. The browser can now be used in-game too, making it ideal for walkthroughs and the like.
On the connectivity front, WiFi syncing has made its way onto the Vita, allowing users to transfer data to their PC without the need for a cable.
