Microsoft has announced that its SkyDrive cloud storage service will be hitting the Xbox 360.

The move comes as Microsoft revealed that SkyDrive usage has doubled in the last six months, attributed to its Windows 8 integration.

SkyDrive cloud storage lets users store their photos, videos, documents and more in the cloud, providing users with up to 7GBs of storage.

The Xbox 360 app lets users view their stored photos and videos as well as content shared by other SkyDrive users.

Additionally, Windows Phone users can take photos with their smartphone and have it appear instantly on their console.

SkyDrive for Xbox 360 also supports Kinect voice and gesture control.

The application should be available on Xbox Live today (11 December 2012).
