Although Sony hasn't been shown off just yet, the announcement of the PlayStation 4 has set the gaming world alight.

The company has been pretty mum about pricing and launch specifics, other than a "holiday 2013 release". But we did get to see loads of gaming trailers and clips, so we picked a few.

A new platformer in the form of Knack will be heading to the console - looks very Pixar-like.

One of the most visually arresting trailers we've seen yet, Capcom's Deep Down looks fantastic if this is close to the final product.

The latest Killzone game doesn't show off much, but we're glad to see its inevitable announcement anyway. 

The Witness, by indie game darling Jonathan Blow (Braid), is also coming to PS4.

Developed by the Motorstorm team, DriveClub is looking great.

Bungie's Destiny has also been confirmed for the PS4, in addition to the Wii U.

Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream produced a tech demo, showing some great effects.

Watch Dogs might be coming to current-generation consoles, but it's also hitting the PS4.
