Web security researchers have uncovered a new cross-platform trojan downloader.
The downloader detects whether you're running Windows, Mac OS X or Linux and then proceeds to download the corresponding malware, according to ZDNet.
The trojan, uncovered by F-Secure, was first spotted in Colombia.
The attack relies on users visiting a compromised website, with users being prompted to download a dodgy Java applet. Once installed, the applet downloads the appropriate malware.
All three variants of the malware hook users' computers up to a central command and control server, where they await their instructions.
