With the launch of NiQqui, BlackBridge Communications are making cheap calls a reality.

NiQqui is a brand new mobile app designed for iPhone and Android users. Utilising the latest in VOIP technology, NiQqui users can phone normal landlines and traditional cellphone numbers - both locally and internationally - at a greatly reduced price, or other NiQqui users for free.

Whilst there are apps that offer similar functions, NiQqui is the first to bring it all together – cheaper calls to conventional numbers, free calling between users, voicemail, call holding, as well as free instant texting. To use all these features, users need an iOS, or Android driven smartphone with Wi-Fi or 3G access.

Calls to conventional numbers are pleasingly attractive in pricing – especially when compared to the rates that we are paying at the moment.

In real terms, this means that NiQqui users will pay:

- 36c per minute to landlines, compared to the going average of R1,85,

- 89c per minute to cellphones, compared to an average of R1,85,

- 30c per minute to the USA, compared to 60c.

The low rates also extend to the subscription fees. New users will pay a once-off connection fee of R99 and a monthly subscription of R9,99. However, users will get a month free for every person they successfully refer to NiQqui.

With so many people struggling under the burden of high call costs, NiQqui is sure to change the way we speak.
