Apple has announced that the iPhone 5 will be available in over 50 countries in December.

South Korea will be next in line to receive the new device, with a launch on Friday 7 December.

The handset will then be coming to 50 more countries on Friday 14 December, including South Africa, Brazil, Russia and Taiwan.

Other countries to receive the iPhone on 14 December include China, Indonesia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.

The new iPhone features a 4-inch Retina Display, an A6 chip and high-speed LTE connectivity.

The iPhone 5 also has iOS 6, which features Facebook integration, Apple Maps, Passbook and Shared Photo Streams.
