Apple has shed more details on the local launch of the fourth-generation iPad and iPad Mini tablet computers.

The fourth-generation iPad is set to launch this weekend, Core Group confirmed, the iPad Mini arriving next week.

WiFi-only iPads will cost R5199 (16GBs), R6399 (32GBs) and R7399 (64GBs).

iPads with cellular connectivity will set you back R6499 (16GBs), R7499 (32GBs) and R8599 (64GBs).

The iPad Mini with WiFi only will have a recommended retail price of R3399 (16GBs), R4499 (32GBs) and R5499 (64GBs).

Cellular-enabled iPad Mini tablets will cost R4799 (16GBs), R5899 (32GBs) and R6999 (64GBs).

The fourth-generation iPad features a new A6X chipset, Retina Display and Lightning Connector port.

The iPad Mini has a 1024x768 screen measuring 7.9-inches across and the same A5 processor seen on the iPad 2.
