Twitter has announced that it will be discontinuing the TweetDeck apps for Android, iPhone and Windows.
The company made the decision in an attempt to drive more users to the web-based services, such as TweetDeck for Chrome, it said in a blog post.
TweetDeck for Android, iPhone and Windows will be removed from their respective app repositories in May, and will cease functioning shortly thereafter.
TweetDeck also cited a trend of more users migrating to the web app over the years, as well as Twitter for mobile devices.
"That said, we know this applies to most of our users – not all of them. And for those of you who are inconvenienced by this shift, our sincere apologies," the team wrote.
