I don't think so.

");
document.write("So what happened to Apple's promise that they will insure that it is sold at no more than $199 across the world??? Rip-off SA...typical.. Adriaan");

document.write("Just another lie from Vodacom. The iPhone is meant to be aimed at the public, not the elite! Guess I will be buying mine in the good US of A!. Jacque");

document.write("Seems Vodacom think they're being very cute with their pricing. \"Damned if we do, damned if we don't\" in a manner of speaking.
My gut feeling is to purchase it overseas, on reading this article as the expectation was that this would be a phone with NO add-in cost based on its overseas pricing, but how would that really help me? The cash cost would be more-or-less the same as the business contract expected add-in pricetag but without their Vodacare promise (i.e. 2-year warranty on handsets, etc.).
So it seems this is a sure-fire way for Vodacom to reap massive earnings.
This is just so vexing and sneaky, I want to spit!. Sandy");
document.write("Duh how stupid does Vodacom think we are!
");
document.write("Sorry I have my 40gb ipod why am I going to pay in such a huge amount of money to have a phone added to that? Really it's so sad that the SA consumer always gets ripped off. I too will buy my phone o/s and will not give Vodacom the business.. John");

document.write("why are u all moaning about the price. the nokia n95 costs R9500.the iphone is better than the nokia.the $200 that apple advertise is the once-off price in the contract.whoever believes that the price was gonna be $200 worldwide is an idiot.thats less than wat a nano costs.just like every other contract marketing ploy.on most contracts you get phones for free here.lol.. the iphone costs R5000 in the usa.it costs 500 euros in europe. the omnia is also goin to cost the same price.
and everyone is saying how #### vodacom cuz it takes ages to release the phone,it got nothin to do with vodacom.its apple and vodafone.. ");

document.write("I live in the USA and have been in South Africa for about two months now. Brought my iPhone with me, had it cracked (bricked) and have been using on the Vodacom network since. I can get you a 3G phone for much less than the proposed price and send it out here. The price is ridiculous!! It's so evidently a rip-off, like just about everything else in Mbeki's kingdom. By the way, the phone is not that great, people. Really. There are better devices out there. It's a gimmick, has certain advantages, but it is over-hyped.. Johann");
