A fake DIY advice video showing users how to add a headphone jack to their iPhone 7 has gone viral, after tricking quite a few people.
The video was uploaded by YouTuber TechRax, who frequently uploads videos of himself destroying smartphones.
Despite this, some people seem to have taken his 'Secret Hack to Get Headphone Jack on the iPhone 7' as a sincere DIY piece, resulting in them destroying their pricey smartphones.
The iPhone 7 notoriously lacks a headphone jack - with owners either requiring an adaptor or special Air Pods to play music through headphones.
TechRax however claimed that you could create your own headphone jack by drilling a hole into your iPhone 7.
The video shows him drilling a hole into the phone, then inserting headphones and playing music through the speakers - while proclaiming success.
While most people understood that it was just a prank, others took his advice seriously.
TechRax tweeted an angry message from one of his viewers who apparently tried the trick.
He said he had received several complaints. Considering the video has been watched over 10 million times and has over 89 000 dislikes, quite a few people seem to have been fooled by the prank.
