It's been a year of amazing growth for the world's favourite video-sharing website, with some mind-boggling statistics to boot.

Whether it's the 48 hours of video being uploaded per minute or the one billion clips being watched per day, YouTube's stats never fail to amaze.

Consequentially, it takes something special to stand out from the crowd, so we took a look at some of the best videos of 2011.

Rebecca Black took the world by storm with her song, Friday, which was quickly labelled as possibly the worst music video yet.

The Talking Dog clip, featuring some funny voice-over work, was the number two video on YouTube for the year.

One of my favourite clips this year showed twin babies "talking" to one another in their own way.
